This text approaches two auxiliary teaching tools of educational practice: the planning of education and evaluation of learning. In this study, it is proposed to rescue a historical context searching the process of planning and evaluation of schools during the First Brazilian Republic to the present day, articulating those forms of teaching adopted at every moment. The objective of the survey is to reveal some contradictions in the planning of teaching and evaluation of learning, their progress and setbacks during the economic and social development of Brazil. It is caused by a global trend of organization and control of productive activities in the capitalist world.Downloads
