About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The editorial line of Thesis Juris Law Journal follows master’s degree and PhD programmes in Law at Nove de Julho University (UNINOVE), area of concentration “Justice, Company and Sustainability”, and its complementary research lines:
I) Line 1: “Justice and the Efficiency Paradigm”, based on the following themes: a) Jurisdiction: boundaries between legal and effectiveness, which weighs efficiency against other values whose safety is analyzed by the Justice System with a focus on Brazilian procedural reforms; b) Judicial Activity: (re) reading of the efficiency paradigm, in which it analyzes ways of achieving it within the peculiarities of jurisdictional activities, addressing the complexities and challenges of the Judiciary in Post-Modernity, demanding this power a more active stance in the recognition of rights; c) Virtual Space Information Technology at the Service of Justice; d) Conflict Management and the (Dis) Construction of Litigation through Negotiation; e) Judiciary in Comparative Law.
II) Line 2: “Company, Sustainability and Functionalization of Law”, based on the following themes: a) Recovery and Sustainability System; b) Company and Human Rights Effectiveness: c) Transindividual Interests and Functionalization of Law; d) Sustainability, Promotion and Taxation.
Authors may submit papers related to the areas of Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Business Law, Environmental Law, Civil Law, Consumer Law, Criminal Law, Civil Procedural Law, Civil Procedural Law, Civil Procedural Law, Labor Law, International Law, Philosophy of Law, State Theory, Sociology Legal. Submissions which address these areas and relate to the themes of the lines of research will have priority for analysis over the others.
