Virtual environments of distance learning and online education

Abstract

The technological resources of information and communication are present in various human activities and are already being used in education at distance education courses online, enabling to meet a large number of people who are distant from a centre of educational reference or those who have no availability to follow a regular course. This article tries to reflect the importance of the virtual environments for a collaborative learning and for professional development, as geographical distance is no longer a barrier to lifelong learning with quality.
