A new technique to detect broken rotor bars, in large squirrelcage induction motors is presented. In order to avoid problems in industrial applications, the electromagnetic behavior of induction machines with rotor faults was examined, by using a mathematical model. Simulation results are presented from the model implemented in the Simulink-Matlab. Experimental results are presented in order to validate the proposed method.Downloads
