Abstract

This article presents the results of a research about the importance of the reading ofliterary texts in the literacy process of children. Ther research was carried out at a municipal school in the city of Londrina, in the state of Parana. We have evaluated first grade courses during three years, in each year the literacy process aproach was different from the other two. We have concluded that the literacy process has been better succeded when based in the literary reading. The theorical basis of this scientific work are Soares (2002), Freire (2001), Belintane (2013), Candido (1995), Barthes (2004) and Colomer (2007).
