The use of bibliometric techniques is a common practice in researches in applied social sciences. Its application helps in understanding of new issues and identifying trends for future researches. The purpose of this paper was to present the characteristics of a bibliometric study and its benefits, in order to help new researchers to have greater familiarity with this technique, through a didactic example addressing the theme of priming and advertising.Downloads
