The Tripadvisor App And The Online Complaints Made By Tourists: A Vision of Gastronomic Ventures in Fortaleza-CE

The use of mobile applications in tourism has grown significantly in recent years, as a consequence of technological advances. Tourists are quite picky and increasingly use the internet as a means of expressing their frustrations over services that do not meet their expectations through apps like TripAdvisor. The objective of this study is to analyze the complaints posted by tourists on the TripAdvisor platform regarding the services provided by the main restaurants in Fortaleza-CE. It did examine the profile of the main claims published. The technique of non-participatory observation, derived from the ethnographic method, was used to analyze the complaints posted online by tourists from the TripAdvisor application, on the ten best restaurants of Fortaleza, during the year 2016. This work intends to suggest actions that allow the reduction of complaints in the gastronomic sector of Fortaleza, as well to contribute with studies in the area of tourism.
