Introduction: the use therapeutic ultrasound (TUS) in wound healing is still discussed by the scientific community. Objetive: to determine whether the UST produces beneficial outcomes in wound healing and the parameters wich have been used to provide better dose-response. Methods: The databases PubMed, SciELO and PEDro were searched. We selected 19 clinical trials, assessed by the PEDro scale and JADAD. Results: of 19 studies, 8 were related to the application of NCLFU (Noncontact Low Frequency Ultrasound) with moderate evidence for its application; 6 were related to the application of HFU (High Frequency Ultrasound) and 1 was related to the application of LIPUS (Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound), both of with low evidence. Dose-response relationship there was no agreement between the studies in this review. Conclusion: there is moderate evidence of NCLFU and limited the HFU as an adjunct to wound care resource, not being able to respond clearly the best dose-response relationship.Downloads
