Opinions of undergraduate students in Physical Therapy about the use of wiki as auxiliary tool in learning

Introduction: The term wiki means space for collective sharing of knowledge. Objective: To verify opinions of undergraduate students in Physical Therapy about the use of wiki as an auxiliary tool in learning. Methods: Study performed in an institution of higher education of Maceió, Alagoas (Brazil), with 46 academics of Physical Therapy registered in discipline of Neurologic Physical Therapy II. Each student answered a questionnaire previously elaborate, addressing the profile of interviewee, aspects of man-machine relationship, and aspects of interaction of students with the wiki tool. Results: It was verified a predominance of female students, aged between 21 and 30 years, and middle-class. The academics considered the wiki tool as easy to use, characterizing it as a positive experience that encourages the review of the issues approached in the discipline. Conclusion: The insertion of the wiki tool in the teaching of Physical Therapy is an initiative that generates benefits for academics.Downloads
