Introduction: The stroke is the main cause of physical incapacitation around the world. The physiotherapeutic function assessment has the aim to give therapeutic diagnosis, prognostics and evaluate responses to treatments of patients with sequels of this disease. Objective: This study shows and discusses the translation, adaptation, viability and application for functional assessment scales, using a quantitative questionnaire applied to adults with acute and chronic sequels resulting from stroke. Method: We performed analytical descriptive literature review on electronic sources – Bireme, LILACS, MEDLINE, SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Results: We found 11 evaluation items: (1) IB, (2) F-M, (3) MIF, (4) THMMS, (5) EEB, (6) NIHSS, (7) TEMPA, (8) ER, (9) EAPA, (10) ECT, (11) EDT. Conclusion: The scales found show an easy applicability, adaptation and reliability, thus they are recommended for physiotherapeutic treatment.Downloads
