Analysis of Koryo Sooji Chim acupuncture technique in the treatment of pain in osteoartrosis patients

The objective of this work is to verify the effect of the technique of Koryo Sooji Chim acupuncture in the treatment of pain in osteoartrosis patients. Eight women, between 45 and 75 years old, carriers of cervical, toracic, lumbar, hand, hip and knee osteoarthosis, of the Orthopedics department of the Physiotherapy Clinic of Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes. We used elucidative brochures about Koryo Sooji Chim acupuncture technique, formal assent of participation in the research work, questionnaire of acupuncture evaluation, questionnaire of E.V.A. pain. The results about the evaluation of pain, before and after treatment and in each session, was estatisticality significant, which p ≤ 0,05, observing thus the improvement of painful picture of the disease. It was concluded that acupuncture as method of treatment of the osteoarthritis, associated to physiotherapy resources, minimizes the pain.Downloads
