Thinking about death and about our own finitude has always been a subject of fear. So being, the text below presents a brief consideration about the death issue, relating it to suicide and justice. In order to introduce the reader to this subject, a newspaper article announcing the suicide of a reputed philosopher and his wife is shown below. This announcement will be the conducting wire for this investigation. The investigation also approaches the position taken by Philosophy regarding the subject, from Plato to Montaigne, as well as the understanding of German Literature about the subject. However, more than being a reflection on death, the present article proposes a reflection on life.Downloads
