Diagnosis of Working Methods: Analyze a University Administrative Unit

The aim of this report is highlights the importance of mapping methods work in smaller administrative units. It is also intended to indicate the most appropriate methodology for modeling and mapping work processes when organizations are not structured as Processes Management. Like reference, use of some approaches that assist the consultants in situational analysis, and was also focused on process mapping, with its main tools and techniques. The research is characterized with case study and has adopted analysis techniques documental, bibliographic, interview and personal observation. Was observed through the application of methodology of process mapping of the Oliveira (2007), that investigated the Administrative Unit did not have institutionalized their processes and sub-processes and that much of the knowledge about the processes routines were tacit, being in possession of only one employee. By means of this observation was made the process modeling Model AS IS portraying the real situation of current procedures. As proposed intervention was suggested to Administrative Unit a remapping of subprocesses using the Model TO-BE by agreeing and validating the new flow with all actors involved. Furthermore has recommended the organization the institutionalization of this new working method, registering it through flowcharts and manuals.
