This study corresponds to a proposal for intervention in the management of solid waste in a machine shop. First we conducted a diagnosis of the current situation, raised the types of waste generated, the frequency, as are willing and what the final destination. Especially the used lubricating oil and other contaminated materials, which are classified as hazardous and must be properly stored and intended for organizations that have licensing. The data collection instrument was the interview with the company's manager and simple observation. With the data collected, improvement suggestions were formulated based on current legislation, the adequacy of the waste storage tanks and the construction of a containment barrier for lubricating oil cask used, and these contributions are much to add in the processes current company, as are also grounds for establishing a PGRS in the futureDownloads
