Pollution Abatement Program Streams : Clean Stream Program

The illegal occupation of residential property, with the resulting release inappropriate and liquid effluents are a major cause of pollution found in streams and polluted rivers of the State of São Paulo. SABESP - Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo, the Government of Sao Paulo and PMSP- city hall of São Paulo have created a partnership to promote the de-pollution of São Paulo streams. In this sense, this paper will address the Clean Stream Program, specifically related to stream Mandaqui - Basin TC-14. The objective of this technical report is to demonstrate the contributions that the Clean Stream Program provided to the community of Mandaqui and discuss the actions that were carried out between the initial phase and the final phase of the program. As a result it was found that clean Program Stream gave significant contribution to the city and population. After cleaning up the stream Mandaqui, there was significant improvement in quality of life, especially in that live in the stream environment.
