Abstract

One of the most important factors in the success of projects is the performance of the project manager. The objective of this paper is to verify if the protagonism of a project manager in activities with a highly complex environment, due to the technological innovation and pressure generated by being a legal institutional demand, is a key success factor of the project. To achieve the proposed goal a qualitative research was carried out. The data were obtained through interviews with project managers and team members. For this analysis, the MAXQDA software was used. The main result obtained, among others, was the relevance of the role played by the project manager and the strong relationship with the success of the project and with other managerial skills.
