O futuro das competências em gerenciamento de projetos: Como fazer a escolha certa das competências para os profissionais de seu projeto?

As competências em gerenciamento de projetos podem ser compreendidas como um conjunto de aplicações de habilidades, experiências e traços de personalidades para serem aplicados no contexto dinâmico de projetos. Assim, ao desenvolver suas competências, o profissional de projetos pode levar suas atividades a resultados esperados com base em padrões definidos e aceitos. Entidades como World Economic Forum (WEF), Project Management Institute (PMI), Agile Business Consortium (ABC), entre outras, investem em pesquisas para compreender as competências dos profissionais e apresentam um conjunto de competências-chave. Com base em pesquisas ao longo dos últimos anos, foram evidenciadas mais de 170 competências de gerenciamento de projetos categorizadas por competências comuns, relevantes e exclusivas, distribuídas em diferentes tipologias. Diante das diferentes fontes dos estudos e guias apresentados, infere-se sobre a dificuldade em afirmar quais são as competências do futuro para o profissional de projetos. Porém, é possível pressupor que as competências necessárias para atuar em projetos são as que melhor se adéquam ao contexto das tipologias de projetos por meio da abordagem de Funil de Competências. Ademais, as competências que antes eram atribuídas somente ao gerente dos projetos, estão sendo distribuídas para as pessoas envolvidas no projeto. Embora esta prescrição possa ser útil para um desenvolvimento inicial no gerenciamento de projetos, é importante que o profissional de projetos procure saber o significado das competências para o contexto aplicado. Assim, este profissional pode efetuar uma autoanálise visando entender suas lacunas de competências e se planejar para preencher estas lacunas.
