Abstract

The constant changes in the business scenario provided a greater dynamic in technological advances and environmental practices. In this segment, efficiently manage reverse logistics has become a key point. In this context, this study has the general objective to understand how it develops the reverse cycle of glass containers in a bottling drinks. To this end, the following specific objectives are established: a) describe the processes wrapped in reverse cycle, showing all materials and related initiatives; b) evidence that the reasons for an organization to implement reverse logistics in the study segment. The study was conducted a bottling of Pernambuco drinks sales is a reference in Brazil and worldwide. Therefore it was used as a method qualitative research. The results showed that applies bottler well structured RL practices, having an active and controlled chain reverse supply, which allows the reintroduction of the glass containers in the production process. Thus, the bottler can practically void waste and reduce environmental impacts. In addition, the organization recycles all materials linked to containers, namely, neck label and providing responsible environmental solutions.
