Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The metadata is in accordance with what was requested by the Magazine - Filling in the Metadata.

Writing Guidelines

• 1. Any article submitted to GeAs Journal will be evaluated with respect its scientific merit;

• 2. GeAs Journal requires articles be formatted according to manuscript norms of the APA – American Psychological Association and must be written using Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 space between lines. Paper layout is A4 (29,7 x 21cm), with upper margin of 3.0 cm, left margin 3.0 cm, bottom margin 2.0 cm and right margin also 2.0 cm. Reference list in alphabetical order, at the end of the manuscript, including only those references mentioned in the text, Exemples:

• 3. Article length shouldn’t be less than 15 and no more than 25 pages, including Title, abstract, key-words, the body of the article and references;

• 4. Frames, Tables, Graphics and Illustrations of any kind (B & W or Color) must be included in the body of the text, in the same order they are cited, using Times Roman size 10 for respective titles;

• 5. The abstract should not be larger than 250 words. Key-words should not exceed 6 words;

• 6. The article should not exceed 4 authors;

• 7. Articles should not be previously submitted/published in another periodical, except an preliminar version in scientific event of any type.

• 8. Articles submitted to GeAs Journal should not be submitted simultaneously to another periodical;

• 9. The Editor in Chief is allowed to accept or reject an article based solely on the adherence of the article to GeAs Journal editorial policies;

• 10. GeAs Journal would not receive a second article while one is still under evaluation;

• 11. The editor may not accept an article whose text wouldn’t guarantee the authorship’s anonimity;

• 12. The Editor may suggest alteration regarding the contents as well as the writing norms and presentation of the articles;

• 13. Blind reviewers are not responsible for corrections of gramatical mistakes in the articles.

• 14. GeAS Journal reserves the right to final editing and corrections of orthographic errors after final approval;

• 15. GeAs Journal uses OJS system may refuse to accept articles if exclusivity, originality and authorship would not be accepted by atuthor(s);

• 16. Authors can monitor their article’s evalution and editing process through OJS System;

• 17. GeAS Journal Editor will not take responsibility for opinions, ideas, concepts and specific position of authors underwriten in the articles;

• 18. Reviewers observations will be addressed to authors, regardless the final recommedation to accept as is, to accept with corrections or to refuse;

• 19. The article should be submitted only online at www.revistageas.org.br

• 20. In Microsoft Office documents, the author identification must be removed from the document properties (in the File > Properties menu), click the File tab on the main menu, next File > Info > Check for Issues > Inspect Document > Inspect > choose to Remove everything in the dialog box, review the results in Document Inspector and save.

• 21. Include in references of eleteconic articles DOI in accessible format, that is with prefix https://doi.org/.
