The coordination of companies in a supply chain potentially reduces costs, lead times, damages, and losses, all of which improve the level of service offered to the consumer. The fact that the use of information technology can help improve processes in a supply chain raises a question: How does information technology affect the way of coordinating supply chains? This study aims to discuss this question and to investigate the influence that other factors, such as the quality of relationships and process-based management, have on the structuring of coordination. A literature review made evident that information systems resources are correlated with process management, as priors to ways in both coordination and quality of relationshipsDownloads
