Abstract

In the pursuit of quality and continuous improvement, many organizations seek to certify their management systems according to the ABNT NBR ISO 9001:2015. However, this standard does not prescribe how the requirements can be achieved, which implies in potential wastes in the implementation. Thus, this study aimed to propose a systematic for the implementation of the ABNT NBR ISO 9001:2015 standard, integrating Lean Six Sigma principles and practices. The research was subdivided into four stages, where we initially sought to explore the literature on the subject. Afterwards, we carried a survey for the main Lean Six Sigma tools, to then proceed with the crossing of tools and requirements of the standard. Finally, the proposal was presented and validated by a panel of experts. As a result, we expect to help managers and decision makers to implement the ISO 9001 standard effectively and efficiently, directing the work to be done and reducing waste.
