Abstract

In recent years, the changes brought about by economic and cultural globalization, which, contrary to what was thought, have contributed to an increasingly pronounced process of fragmentation of identities and strengthening of heterogeneities, as well as the largest or-ganization of social movements, has led the Brazilian government to implement affirmative action policies in order to mitigate the serious imbalances in our society. In this context, bringing the debate on difference and diversity, seeking to promote a "positive ethnic-racial" education has become, in many ways, "school duty" and consequently "teacher's job." Reflect on the effectiveness and scope of such measures, especially the Law 10.639 / 03, leads us to seek to know and unfold in a positive way school practice, especially regard-ing the history teaching and "cultural plurality" present in the PCNs.
