Abstract

This article aims to contribute to the understanding of the concept of curriculum evaluation in Sao Paulo from the proposed education reform launched by the state government in 2007. The curriculum proposal supported the distribution of graphic material indicating the contents to be worked, the performance of teachers, the goals to be achieved and how the students should be evaluated after a certain period. In an attempt to start the discussion, it presents general information about the reform, the assessment program are Paul’s school and finally a reading based on the authors about the concept of assessment, the curriculum used as a criterion for quality improvement the public schools of São Paulo state.
